Hi! I'm Jessi and I am gearing up for my trip to Scotland. I am an early childhood education student at St. Norbert College. I grew up in Minnesota, specifically the Twin Cities. I love all things Minnesota....except the Vikings. I have an older sister, younger brother, and incredibly supportive parents. This trip would not be possible without the support system that I have back home. I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and that dream is starting to come true. I have taken every opportunity to work with children. I started babysitting as soon as I could, worked my church's nursery, and have even spent the past 2 summers working at a summer camp in northern Minnesota. Currently I am student teaching in a Kindergarten class. I am loving my time in this amazing classroom and can already say that I am going to miss my students terribly while I am away. Even though it will be difficult to say "see you later" to my students here I cannot wait to meet my class in Scotland. If you are wondering why I am student teaching in Scotland please refer to the "The Why" page of my blog. If you would like to know my personal and professional goals for this adventure please refer to "The Goals" page of the blog. Lastly, if you have any basic questions about Scotland you may be able to find the answer on the page of my blog entitled "About Scotland". |
